After our picnic lunch, we set off again, searching for wildlife in this awe-inspiring park. Serengeti’s wonders evolve subtly as the day progresses. The myriad animals and birds are the ‘stars of the show’ and Nature’s dramas can unfold at any time. Of course, the animals don’t work to any schedule, so we may find a lion or leopard, elephant, zebra, cheetah, and antelope at any time on our drives. At the end of the afternoon, we return to the camp for dinner and some much-needed rest.
Show your final respects to the Serengeti (for this time) with another game drive while heading to Northern Serengeti National Park Kogatende Area. Right after breakfast, you will have a full day of a game drive searching for more of the wildebeest migration and river crossing at Mara River. Please take note –Finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck. A herd can be seen next to the river and only decide to cross or not to cross until a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation, and open plains, similar to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve. After an adventure of the day, you will be taken back to the camp for dinner & overnight.
Right after breakfast, you will go back to the river just to finalize your game drive in the northern Serengeti, then depending on your booked flight you will be taken to Kogatende Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha
