After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to Arusha National Park, where your safari starts. This charming park has a rich diversity of landscapes and wildlife. From lakes, waterfalls, and swamps to volcanos, mountains, and tropical rainforests. They attract many beautiful birds including silvery-cheeked hornbills and thousands of pink-hued flamingos. This park is also the only place in northern Tanzania where you can easily spot the black-and-white colobus monkey.
One of the popular safari activities in this national park is a canoe or walking safari with an armed ranger. A great chance to enjoy wildlife up close, from a different perspective than sitting in a safari vehicle.
Today you depart after breakfast to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Since this is one of the less-known parks in Tanzania, it still has an authentic safari atmosphere. The hilly landscape, with grand Baobab trees against the blue sky, is breathtaking. Witness the world’s largest concentration of elephants. Herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen around the Tarangire River, drinking or enjoying a mud bath. Apart from elephants, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers. In the area around these swamps, you can also see lions, leopards, cheetahs, and even tree-climbing pythons.
Today you continue your safari in the Serengeti national park. Its stunning landscape can be seen in some of the most impressive nature documentaries. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The annual wildebeest migration with more than a million wildebeest is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Together with your private guide, you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals, you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park.
If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you go on a balloon safari. It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife.
The adventure continues with a full-day game drive in order to discover more wonders of Serengeti. The presence of spectacular nature and wildlife is manifested at each glance. If a tear wets your eye, you were probably awed and realized the urgency of protecting this precious Eco-system. Return dusty to your camp for dinner under the stars and rest under canvas.
Early morning game viewing in the Serengeti for the possibility to see predators hunting or with a fresh kill if you are lucky enough then this adventure encounter is just waiting for you. Go back to the camp for breakfast and lunch pick your stuff, then continue with another game drive while heading back to Ngorongoro (note: the timetable here might change according to the guide suggestions & recommendations). Your exit gate will be at Naabi Hill Gate where you will drive back to Ngorongoro for a rest, a hot shower, and prepare for a next morning adventure safari.
After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. There will be a high chance of seeing a lot of wildlife. The views are amazing! This collapsed volcano creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Enjoy the beautiful colors of the landscapes and the diversity of animals. The crater is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa and is full of elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five. The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. After the game drive in the crater, it’s time to wind up your wildlife adventure and ready to leave the caldera and drive back to Arusha for dinner & overnight stay.
We’ll pick you up from your Arusha hotel early morning for the hour-long drive to the Chemka Hot Springs. The road is very bumpy and windy, so hang on! During the drive, don’t forget to enjoy the wonderful scenery and authentic Tanzanian life as it unfolds along the road.
When we arrive, you’re free to be yourself. Linger at the edge of the springs, taking in the blue, blue waters and the lush green of the surrounding forest. Take a leisurely swim (don’t forget that the waters are very warm, so you won’t feel like an Olympic sprint) or float in a world that’s all your own, listening to the water lapping and the birds overhead. If you’re feeling adventurous, why not play on the rope swing? Playing isn’t just for kids!
The pond can be very deep, in some places up to 10 meters, but the water is so clear that you can see right to the bottom. Eat your lunch in the shade of the trees or, if you’re a sun bunny, find a hot spot all your own. You’ve plenty of time to spot the wildlife that also enjoys the Chemka Hot Springs.
